Physical Therapy

Kings Park Physical Therapists, or PT’s, are licensed health care professionals who evaluate and treat people with health problems resulting from injury or disease. 

PT’s assess joint motion, muscle strength and endurance, function of the heart and lungs, and performance of activities required in daily living, among other responsibilities.

bullet  Increase and maintain muscle strength and endurance
bullet  Restore and increase range of motion in joints
bullet  Increase coordination
bullet  Decrease pain
bullet  Decrease muscle spasm and spasticity
bullet  Decrease swelling/inflammation of joints
